Leo Full Moon – Snow Moon

This, Leo Full Moon, February 7, 2012 (1:54 PM PST or 4:54 PM EST). This Moon is known by many names, such as: Trapper’s Moon, Budding Moon, Moon of the Raccoon, Ice Moon, Snow Moon, Candles Moon, Hunger Moon, Storm Moon.

Leo is about ambition, optimism, generosity, leadership, and open heartedness.

Full Moon’s are a lunar phase that happens each month. Occurring when the Sun and Moon are in opposition to each other (180° of separation, Earth is between the Sun and Moon). Full Moon’s are a of culmination and releasing what no longer serves you in a gentle way.  A good time to check in with yourself. Am I generous? Optimistic? or Openhearted? If not, this might be an excellent time to gently release and experience in a new way.
