New Moon’s are a time for New Beginnings and is a lunar phase that happen each month. This lunar phase occurs when the Sun and Moon come together, forming a conjunction (Moon is between the Earth and the Sun, as viewed from Earth).

The Sabian Symbol for the moon (Aquarius 3°) according to Dan Rydhyar in an Astrological Mandala,“The individual’s self-realization through a crucial repudiation of a collective status which has become unbearable”. This symbol is about Awakening.

2012 Chinese New Year is the year of the Water Dragon. Chinese New Year begins at sunset, following the first New Moon after the Sun enters the sign of Aquarius in China.  Dragon is a symbol of good fortune and new beginnings.  This year Chinese New Year runs from January 23, 2012 – February 10, 2013.
